Norwood Architects provides full architectural services for residential and commercial clients in Atlanta and beyond, from the first conversation through the completion of construction. We are not limited to any particular architectural style. Our aim is to design in your style and around your needs, rather than impose our own.
Every project begins with predesign and programming. The key to a successful construction project is a balance between the program, the budget and the schedule, so we start by establishing a clear, well-communicated program of your needs and budget considerations.
In schematic design, that program becomes our guide. We perform a site analysis of your property, and the site helps determine the building’s shape and orientation. The design is then presented to you for discussion.
During design development we refine the design. Depending on the project, we use 3D software so that you can visualize the design in a life-like environment, and we can prepare renderings to help market a project before it is built.
Construction documents then define every element of the project, including dimensions, details and specifications, so that the scope is clear and your investment is protected.
Our work includes new custom homes, renovations, condominium build-outs, multifamily housing, restaurants, retail stores and office buildings, delivered through Design-Bid-Build or, in some cases, Design-Build.
